It's official! Our good friend Brooke Daines just got hired to do graphic design for General Motors. So get ready--GM stuff is going to look a heck of a lot cooler!

Dinner with the Horspools

We were invited over to Bryan and Jamie Horspool's on Sunday night for dinner and we spent time with them and their two adorable little girls, Grace and Reagan. Dinner was delicious, and we ended the night playing their new Wii. But here is little Gracie with Ellie, and this picture was too adorable to not post.

Trunk-or-Treat with the Elms/Addams

On Saturday, we all headed up to the church building for a Tri-Ward Trunk-or-Treat activity. Even though we didn't go for long, or even for candy, we were excited to get all dressed up for Ellie's first Halloween. We kicked around a few ideas, but we ended up going as the Addams Family--with Andrew as Gomez, Shawna as Morticia, and Ellie as Pubert (for those unfamiliar with Pubert--shame on you--check out "Addams Family Values" again). Duh-duh-duh-duhn *snap* *snap*!

Ellie took her first trip to Bakersfield and had so much fun visiting her grandparents and great-grandparents! Grammy Liz gave her this adorable pink polka dot dress.

Elizabeth Ryan meets Ryan

Ryan Partnoff, DDS, is a good friend and former classmate of Andrew's. It was he, while at school, who jokingly suggested that we should name our baby after him. Upon relating this to Shawna, Andrew was surprised to find that Shawna actually really liked the suggestion; she thought Ryan would be a cute name for a little girl. But we decided that it would serve better as a middle name, which is where "Ryan" came from.
So today for the USC game, Ryan Partnoff came over and met Elizabeth for the first time. Here they are together--little Ellie and her middle namesake.
