Being All Cute

Saturday we were out for a walk in downtown Burbank and a man stopped us to look at Ellie. I was guarded as usual, but let him. He then asked if he could take her picture- I didn't know about that. Andrew and I stood there in awkward silence not wanting to say yes. He then pulled his professional camera out of nowhere and introduced himself as Victor Iorillo. He gave us his buisness card and said he would email us the shots. Well here they are. He is going to put one up on his website as well. Ellie was flattered.

Andrew Attempts Creativity!
Andrew owes the Daines big-time! He loves playing with the Illustrator software they gave him, and his latest creation is this silhouette he made of four-month-old Ellie. He wanted to show it off!

Sunday Ellie
On Sunday. We were surprised that we finally were able to get her into shoes and not have them fall off (those are "newborn" size shoes, and they are still too big).

Finally!--Christmas Posts
Sorry about the long post drought, but here are our Christmas pics and tales. Let's begin.
This holiday season, we were lucky in that Andrew had a substantial break from school, because we had a lot planned and a lot of places to be. To start off with, however, was a Christmas surprise from Andrew: one of his gifts was a trip to Cayucos, CA, and to our favorite B&B. You see, for our honeymoon, we spent time vacationing all along the central coast, from Monterey on down, but our favorite place was undoubtedly the Sunset Inn in Cayucos, a small town near Morro Bay and San Luis Obispo. We loved it so much that we decided to spend our anniversaries there. But, since Shawna was on bedrest during our anniversary this year, we couldn't go. So we went in December.

Movie Quiz Answers

OK--here are the answers. In retrospect, maybe they were a bit too hard. It would've been easier with wav or mp3 files, but then it probably would've given the movie away. So, in the answers, I've included audio of the quotes I could find online; maybe they'll seem more familiar. Here it goes.
1. "Where da white women at?"--the black sheriff in Blazing Saddles, when he's trying to get the attention of the KKK. http://www.moviewavs.com/php/sounds/?id=bst&media=MP3S&type=Movies&movie=Blazing_Saddles"e=whitewmn.txt&file=whitewmn.mp3
2. "Crazy drunk driver"--the bum in Back to the Future when Marty returns to 1985. http://www.moviewavs.com/php/sounds/?id=gog&media=MP3S&type=Movies&movie=Back_To_The_Future"e=drunkdriver.txt&file=drunkdriver.mp3
3. "Andy--you GOONIE!"--Troy as he yells down the well when Andy only sends up the letterman's jacket. (Sorry, I couldn't find a file for this one).
4. "I am an F...B...I...a-GENT"--the immortal Keanu Reeves in Point Break SAD! No files online of this, either (and I looked).
5. "Never rub another man's rhubarb"--Jack as the Joker in Batman.

Bossy girl?
Please don't tell me Ellie is already into the LA style scene. I need to graduate first before she spends of all her daddy's money. Aunt Amy, is this your doing?
