Broxton!!!

Dodger Blue and Hotdogs Too!

So Friday night we met up with Challa and his crew, which included Miker, Skrad Arnoldus, Moland, Maldonado, TWork, Ronnie, and even the Baron Davis. We all cruised up the hill to experience the All-You-Can-Eat Rightfield Pavilion, which boasted unlimited Dodger Dogs, nachos, popcorn, peanuts, soda, and bottled water. Let us tell you, it was as advertisted. We ate our weight in food, and Challa even ate 11 Dodger Dogs, all before the game even started!
As for the game, we were victorious, 2-0 over the Cincinnati Reds. Russell Martin knocked in both runs in the first inning, and Randy Wolf pitched 7 scoreless innings with 11 Ks. And what made it cooler was that Jonathan Broxton, the namesake of our turtle, pitched a scoreless 8th.
After the game, we were able to go onto the outfield grass and watch a firework show. It was a great game!

Bye Bye Beard

I know it's old news, but Andrew has finally shaved his Yosemite beard. Goodbye scratchiness!

It's A Girl!

So it's a girl! We went to the hospital today, and the ultrasound finally revealed what we were dying to know. The baby is going to be a girl. So in a male-dominated family, the new generation will begin with a girl. We have a few names we like, but we think we'll wait until we see the baby to decide what to name her. So here are the new ultrasound pics at 21 weeks, and you can see her profile, and in the other pic, the baby has her mouth open. We're so excited!

Baby Gender Known Tomorrow!

So tomorrow we have an ultrasound appointment at which we'll finally know the baby's gender! We are both so excited!
So we want to know what you think--please leave comments with your name and prediction as to what the baby is going to be. Shawna feels it's going to be a boy, based on all of the movement and kicking, yet Andrew thinks it's going to be a girl. What do you think the newest Elms will be?

Yosemite Nature Shots

Back from Yosemite!

So we just came back from a wonderful week up in Yosemite Valley. We spent the time with Grandma and Grandpa Elms, Papa Bill, Fat Tim, Challa, Amy, and Amy's friend Stephanie Davis, who was rechristened Caronda. Even though it rained one of the days, it was beautiful. Here are some pics of us and the fam, from everywhere from the entrance to the Valley to Yosemite Falls to the bridge on the Mist Trail to a friendly bear's den. More nature pics will follow!
